About the Scholarship

Established in 2007, the Great Lakes Bay Pride Scholarship Fund at the Saginaw Community Foundation is awarded each May to a Michigan resident who has demonstrated a passion for promoting mutual respect and acceptance across borders of race, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression.

How To Apply

Applications are accepted November 1st through February 15th and awards are announced in May. Visit the Saginaw Community Foundation website for more information about applying.

Qualifications

  • Have a minimum 2.5 GPA
  • Be a resident of Michigan
  • Be a high school senior, college student, or non-traditional student
  • Be pursuing a graduate or undergraduate degree or vocational training
  • Demonstrate a commitment to promoting respect and acceptance of diversity across all borders including race, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression
  • Pursue full-time or part-time enrollment
