Our transgender group is for all transgender, intersex and gender non-conforming people, our partners and allies residing in and around the Great Lakes Bay Region. We strive to create a safe place for transgender people and their allies to meet for open dialogue, educational opportunities, and socializing. This is a vibrant community group that enjoys getting together to learn, grow, and have fun together.
Meetings take place on the first Thursday of each month, online via Zoom, starting at 6:00 p.m.

Advocacy & Support
Equality Michigan's Department of Victim Services provides dedicated support and advocacy to the LGBTQ and HIV+ community.
Services include but are not limited to:
- Trans specific specialized services and resources
- Anti-violence support and assistance in filing discrimination complaints
- Intimate partner violence & sexual assault support
- Safety planning
- Community referrals & education
- Legal systems navigation and advocacy

Great Lakes Bay Pride can assist with crisis intervention session costs; up to three (3) crisis sessions per year, per individual. Contact Family & Children's Services directly to make an appointment.
Crisis intervention services are immediate, short-term help to individuals who experience an event that produces emotional, mental, physical, and behavior distress or problems. A crisis refers to any situation in which the individual perceives a sudden loss of their ability to use effective problem-solving and coping skills.
Examples include, but are not limited to: sexual assault, mental illness, thoughts of suicide, a loss or drastic change in a relationship.
