Webinar: Microaggressions 101 Workshop
The lunchtime workshop and panel will discuss what constitutes a microaggression, the not-so-micro pain they inflict and how to intervene.
Host Vennesa Jansma, member of the MCIA’s community council, will lead the workshop portion on microaggressions. She then will be joined by a diverse mix of community members representing points of view from the African American, Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI), Muslim and allies serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The discussion, held on Zoom, is appropriate for high school students and adults and serves as a great continued learning opportunity for those who joined the Inclusion 101 for Families seminars early this year.
